Established in 2018, Smooth as Glass is one of Tyne & Wear’s leading, independent, vehicle bodywork and alloy wheel repairers. Since we opened our doors customers have been delighted with the results we achieve and we’re proud to say we’ve never had a dissatisfied customer.

Situated in North Shields and within easy reach of both the A19 and the A1058, our large, modern, workshop has all the equipment needed to rectify most bodywork damage (except major crash damage where a jig is required). We have a state-of-the-art Dalby downdraft booth with a pit and use industry-leading PPG Paints, enabling us to produce the very highest quality finish on your car or van.

We can carry out insurance work, minor crash damage, classic vehicle restoration, and remove all kinds of dents, dings, scratches, and scuffs to any area of a vehicle’s exterior bodywork.
